for Bb clarinet and multiple windchimes (c. 6')
"Plexus" refers to an intricate network, typically in reference to the network of nerves or blood vessels in the body. In Plexus, the solo clarinet works its way through a network of fingerings, oftentimes producing multiphonics, or clarinet "chords," that inform the structure of the piece. In addition to the very free timing of the piece, there is also a section where the player improvises upon this "network," and is encouraged to interact musically with the somewhat random windchimes.
